What is Madani Academy ?

“Madani Academy” (IOMAP) is a dawah project run by the Islamic Students of Madani Academy, with an aim to promote the learning of Quran throughout the World.

It is an Online Quran Academy, dedicated to promote the correct learning of recitation and memorization of the Glorious Qur’an, through use of Internet Technology in conducting live classes which are supervised by Qualified & Certified Qur’an Tutors from around the world.

The Academy is also under the supervision of Scholars in order to maintain strict Shari guidelines and learning system.

How are the classes conducted?

الحمد للہ عزوجل, we have one of the best educational portal system to carry out our classes. We do not use common software like skype etc which requires installation on both sides thus giving trouble to the students and making it difficult for those who are not technically sound in computers.

We make it easy for our students to log into the online class. They just click on a URL/link to log into the class using username and password. Once clicked, it takes them to a virtual classroom like portal where they can not only see white board, but also see the tutor via camera and chat with him both verbally as well as through text messaging. They can also see the list of other students in the class and hence listen to them while tutor takes their session.

Our portal enables synchronous distance learning with tools like real-time virtual classrooms with multi-way audio, up to 6 live video streams, integrated chat, online whiteboard, application sharing, file transfer, breakout rooms, and more. Some of the features are:

  • Have face-to-face interactions with your remote Tutor and conversations without echo, even without headsets.
  • Easy and effective text chat:
  • Get personal attention from your remote Tutor in one-on-one or group chat.
  • Whiteboard tools to draw naturally:
  • Write in English, Arabic, Spanish, or whichever language you speak; Use symbols, draw using the drawing tools, and flip among multiple whiteboards.
  • Easily upload on the fly:
  • Share PowerPoint slides, documents, web pages, and even your desktop with remote Tutor in real time. Share YouTube videos synchronously.
  • Breakout sessions and recordings:
  • Students can comprehend difficult concepts and collaborate with their peers through discussions in breakout rooms or watch recordings of live classes.

  • What do i need to get ready for the class?

  • You need a Laptop/Desktop (PC), a high speed internet connection, a good headset with mic and pencil/pen with a notebook.
  • Laptop or Desktop:
  • It can be of any average configuration. We prefer IE (internet explorer) browser for our classes. However, our portal works perfectly with all common browsers like firefox, chrome etc. Please ensure that your browser has no issues before starting your classes.
  • High Speed Internet Connection:
  • We advise you to have internet connection of no less than 4 MB speed (although 1 MB also works well). This shall ensure proper and smooth flow of the class. If you have intermittent connection problem then please resolve it before you start your classes. Bad connection leaves bad impression of both the Academy and the Tutor. But the worst part is that you tend to loose interest in learning Quran.
  • Headset and Mic:
  • A good headset with mic is another vital thing necessary for your online classes. We advise you to buy a new one so that there is no unnecessary interference due to loose/worn-out wire etc while conducting the classes.
  • Pen/Pencil and Notebook:
  • Having a pencil/pen and a notebook is a very good habit while attending these classes. This shall ensure that you make a note of all the important rules of Tajweed, Makharij etc.

  • How to Study online ?

  • To Join our Academy, the procedure is very simple.
  • Kindly go to http://madanicademy.com/registration/ and fill out the web application form, separately for each candidate, (filling in the details of only the candidate who shall study with us and not others e.g. parents, friends etc). Once you submit, your application shall be processed and if accepted, you shall receive a mail of acceptance from us. Then upon finalizing time slot with you based on seat availability, we shall initiate a TRIAL class for you so that you can check our entire class setup and then decide whether to Join us or not.
  • If you decide to join us, then you must intimate the admin by emailing him and simultaneously make the fee payment for that month along with the registration fee. The fee payment link is available at http://madaniacademy.com/fee/.
  • Once we receive the fee payment for the current month, we shall confirm your Admission.

  • What is duration of each class? Does student get one-on-one session?

  • Yes, of course! Each student gets 30 minutes of one-on-one time with the Tutor. Each Class shall be of duration 30 minutes.

  • Note:

  • The one on one time duration may be lesser for people asking for discounts in the fee. This 30 mins duration does not hold good for those who are availing discounts in fee.

What is duration of complete Recitation or Memorization course?

The duration of Quran learning entirely depends on an individual. We cannot define a particular time line as general time duration because the ability to learn varies from person to person.

If a person wants to learn Recitation of Quran only, then it might take about 6 months to perfect it. If a person wants to learn Recitation and complete the entire Quran recitation with Ustadh, it might take about an year or more.

Similarly, if a person wants to Memorize Qur’an, the length of duration varies from person to person. Some take 2 years to memorize entire Quran while others might take 4 years or more. A young child on an average memorizes the entire  Qur’an within 3 years. An adult might take more time.

So we cannot define a  time duration for either courses. Nevertheless, Just get started with your Quran learning and ان شآء اللہ عزوجل you will adjust automatically and know your own milestones. Your Ustadh shall be of great help in setting your milestones.

Where are the tutors from & which languages do they speak?

Our Quran tutors are from different parts of the world, of varied origins, speaking different languages and hence catering to respective students. Based on your preferred language and location, we arrange for a tutor who is best suitable for you.

I want Quran Teacher  who is of Arab origin only and who speaks Arabic!

The concept of “Arab Quran Tutor is better than Non Arab Quran Tutor” is a big misconception.

Qur’an learning has nothing to do with one being Arab or Non Arab. Do we believe that Allah has done injustice to the Non Arabs by making them inferior in Qur’an learning compared to Arabs? Absolutely not! In fact, most of the Qur’an Tutors even in Arab world are of Non Arab Origin. The Prophet’s Masjid is filled with Qur’an Tutors who are not of Arab origin. Many excellent hufaaz and Qaaris are Non Arabs. Even the mashaykh who teach in various Islamic Universities are of Non Arab origin. Do you know the one who prepared Arabic syllabus for Islamic University of Madani Academy is a Non Arab? Do you know the best book on Prophet’s (صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم) seerah is by a Non Arab?? We can go on quoting how much Non Arabs have excelled over Arabs in the field of Islam. So kindly remove this misconception from your mind that Arab Quran Tutor is better than Non Arab Quran Tutor. What you need is a Tutor who teaches you correct Qur’anic learning and whose makharij, Tajweed or Qirat is excellent.

How much is the Tuition Fees ?

In order to bear our monthly cost and continue the development work of your ‘MADANI  ACADEMY‘ we are charging least fees from our students. ان شآء اللہ عزوجل, we have plans to make your ‘Madani Academy’ free of cost if we get sufficient financial support to bear our expenses.
We are very glad to announce that for the first time ‘MADANI  ACADEMY‘ is the only institute which is providing quality tuitions at the most lowest fees in return. Following are the packages that we are providing currently.

We are often asked the question “Why does Madani Academy charge fee? Shouldn’t Quran teaching be absolutely free?”

The answer to this is “We wish we could keep it free”!

The following are the two main reasons why we do not keep this service for free:

Firstly, our Madani Academy is international online quran teacher academy, with an aim to promote learning of Quran throughout the World. In order to sustain the Academy, lowest possible fee structure has been worked out, mainly to pay off monthly expenses like Tutor salaries, resources costs etc. We also provide 20% scholarship seats for New Muslims (reverts) who study completely free. Hiring quality tutors is very expensive and we cannot compromise in quality. We would go bankrupt if we don’t charge fee from students as we have to maintain the Academy and without resources (which don’t come for free) it would close down. Don’t you think it is better to have a Quran service which charges fee rather than having no Quran service at all?

Secondly, Students would not take the classes seriously if offered for free (This is years of our teaching experience). Moreover, many students feel awkward and uncomfortable with that thought that they are using the time and effort of the Academy and not giving anything in return (in terms of value for time).

The pursuit of Islamic knowledge requires some level of commitment and sacrifice bearing in mind the great rewards in return in Akhirah. Whether it’s scholars of the past leaving their families and traveling great distances to seek knowledge OR students of today who spend financial and physical effort; some level of commitment and sacrifice is necessary to keep you focused throughout this journey.

Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم) said: “A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it.” – Al-Tirmadhi, Hadith 148

Spending your wealth in acquiring Islamic knowledge is the best investment you can make! So cut down your other expenses and start spending in the path of Shari knowledge…
